What is a Rockmotor?
Rotary Power at the Bit Face

The AT-Boretec Rockmotor is a precision-engineered HDD tooling housing designed for horizontal directional drilling in hard rock and mixed-ground conditions. It is not a standalone drill rig — it’s a critical front-end component that integrates with All-Terrain and Dual-Rod HDD systems from Ditch Witch and Vermeer.

Its bent-sub design (~2° offset) enables steerable rock drilling by combining continuous rotation with directional control — allowing operators to navigate underground obstacles while crushing through the toughest formations. The floating spindle and reinforced bearing structure protect the tool and maximise wear life in punishing conditions.

German engineering, Australian support. The Rockmotor is designed and built by AT-Boretec in Germany, and supplied exclusively by JB Trenchless with full parts, service, and rebuild support.
